Morreu dia 13 de agosto, aos 94 anos, Les Paul, instrumentista inventor da guitarra elétrica e da gravação e múltiplos canais devido a complicações por causa de pneumonia. Ele veio a falecer no White Plains Hospital, onde já estava internado.
Paul simplesmente ajudou na criação do Rock ‘n’ Roll e na gravação de vários canais de voz, fazendo, por exemplo, ser possível a concepção de um coro com a voz de uma mesma pessoa.
